Whether or not you recognized it, back then you were the just soccer weanies that all of the other jocks in your school laughed at and no one took all that seriously.
You're a beauty, BTNT. You are so sad the caricature of yourself is ashamed.

How was anybody discovered for scholarships?
How did Hartwick, St. Louis, Indiana, or any other big name school find players?

What an absolute crock of crap this whole scene has become.
      Lemmings to the Sea...
St Louis had a tremendous high school feeder system back then. St Louis native Harry Keough coached the team and he was part of the MNT in 1950 that beat England in the World Cup

Some know-it-all-doosh with a father who is a sports figure in town and who's kid is a very good player.

.. and there is this psycho parent of a sub par player who landed at some second tier D3 school who stalks him and posts incessantly about him. Jealousy is an ugly thing.

Right. And you of course have zero responsibility for your posting history and the un-debatably horrific reputation that you have earned for yourself.

This incessant bashing of d3 schools really shines a light on the level of ignorance surrounding soccer in this state, surpassed by only the fools who believe there are unfound superstars running around the streets of our cities in bare feet and balls of rags.

The small liberal D3 colleges in this part of the country draw criticism for a lot of reasons that go beyond the soccer field. By and large, they are the types of schools where this snow flake generation is being educated. For many they represent the swamp and unfortunately many up here is the liberal northeast have no idea how disconnected they are from the average Joe in the rest of the country. But you can of course keep thinking its about soccer recruiting.

BTNT, how do you feel about the larger, city-based D3s? Chicago, Wash U, Carnegie Mellon, Emory, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Rochester, Case Western?

But at least the obsessive basher doesn't care in the slightest about any of this. That's reassuring.
