    Alaska- small registration fee

Cal north: must have coach recommendation tryout fee of $125

Why is Oregons so much more expensive??? Why do they pretty much take anyone who try's out????
1). It's more expensive because they are subsidizing Thorns Academy and eventually the DA if they don't get turned down like they did by ECNL.

2). They take anyone who can afford and is willing to pay an extra $1000-2000/year so their kid can wear ODP gear to school. Why? See #1.

Because the best players in other states do ecnl, leaving ODP for the leftovers. ODP will be completely gone within 5 years. Friendship Cup won't last that long.
The fact that that 00 Oregon ODP team had to be placed in the 2001 Friendship Cup pool speaks volumes. Even when ODP is dead and dying nation wide, Oregon can't compete.

Not to mention, ECNL plays soccer in competitive and otherwise not accessible venues. Thorns play in OYSA, FWRL and the Vegas Cup (silver). You can do all these with your neighborhood soccer club. Probably with better players.

But Oregon ECNL is so bad. That's the problem.

It's the best of Oregon / SW Wa. So what does that say about soccer in general in the Area?
Far superior to OYSA and considerably better than Thorns. Hmmmmm

Correct Oregon girls soccer is very very bad. It's shocking you fools discuss it 24/7. Loser central.

I will swing by in a month or 2 to help remind you to get a life. Good day and respect to all who served.

Too expensive so they wind up with B teamers and C teamers. Nobody sends their starters to play Oregon teams.

They should cut the cost. Way too expensive.

If you search Wa g02 EPD Twitter feed, you can read the play by play against Thorns Black. It's quite hilarious.

Oh my. "Passing and organization won out over brutality." That's the definition of ECNL versus Thorns Academy. And is anyone surprised that the two brute 02 ODP forwards joined Thorns Academy?

You got me. I'm so jealous that my kid is going to play ECNL against opponents all over the nation. I would so much rather she play in a watered down OYSA and silver bracket of Vegas Cup. While you're at it, the Washington ODP parents who posted a hilarious Twitter feed about the game were also jealous and sad to be on the team that won 3/1 in Friendship Cup.

You just perfectly described Thorns Academy. They just take the leftovers from ECNL.

Thorns black is not thorns academy, it's one of the two teams from
                                The 02 ODP state pool
