Why does Alaska always need Oregon girls to fill their teams? Seems strange they would travel out of state to tournaments when they don't have enough kids

Many of their families opt to save their soccer dollars for events that are a little more challenging and high profile than Friendship Cup. So Oregon gives Alaska some players to replace the ones who opt out.

Friendship cup has fallen so far from just a few years ago. Lesser quality than even quarterfinals of state cup. Dang. Why?

Has anyone ever looked into how other states run their ODP programs?
Alaska- small registration fee
Colorado- no cost to player (other than travel fees)but must be recommended to tryout by a coach or asked to tryout by ODP staff
Cal north: must have coach recommendation tryout fee of $125
Why is Oregons so much more expensive??? Why do they pretty much take anyone who try's out????
