Wonder what the calls are about? Are there any openings on the A team? B team? C team? Or, do you put boards down on your turf and make parents go to some ridiculous fund raiser? Does your indoor facility smell like my grandmothers basement? Is your GK coach so lazy that it’s difficult to bend over and pick up cones?

It sounds very unlikely the GAL will be playing this fall as a league. Teams will be able to pick up friendly games but no real games from the sounds of it

They are also, and supposedly may not start competitons until January. But if you're on a quality team, especially MLS, it's worth waiting for.*
GAL is a weaker GDA 2.0 which was already weak at 1.0.

* Not sure I'd wait for Beachside right now.

You do realize GDA/GAL doesn't have a monopoly on recruiting right? Wait until you see how much recruiting drops now that the league is much weaker than it was before. Most of the rop clubs bailed for ECNL already; the remaining decent ones will be cherry picked next year

If GAL waits till January to get going; they may have already lost clubs. If ECNL starts to have those talks by January/February for next year; this could get ugly.

Why go through the motions of putting a schedule in place only to have it cancelled when they are just starting out? Plan for late fall/winter/spring and hope things are in better shape. This has been their expectation from day 1 and nothing has changed.
