Agreed. Really only saw 2-3 girls with any talent. Not sure why they do this.

They do this literally to scout those 2-3 top players.

You HAVE to cast a wide net, especially at the younger ages. I believe they stop having the NTC practices after u15. So, at the younger age groups they need to see the “top kids” and see them together. Some players will it be invited back and some new ones will be there next time.

Obviuosly, there will be some players that don’t belong, but got an invite for...whatever political reason, but who cares? It’s one night of training every couple months. It’s not a big deal.

No it’s not a waste of time nor is it political. The standards that are in place are followed by clubs and NT Scounting . Clubs are graded very strictly in fact the risk of placing a player because it’s politically based is not advised. NT only looking notbeven one player from this group will make it well maybe one . The rest are just there to practice against that’s all it’s about .

you may be correct in theory but your kidding yourself in reality. It is political in that not all of the best girls are represented to make room for some that can barely play so that more clubs are represented than if you think there aren't politics going with the selection at each club you on another planet.
