Your DDs team better hope they aren't true. I say consolidate and finally compete outside of this state!

Who benefits from this? Some crazy parents. Who cares in long run if they compete outside of State? In long run of life soccer should be played for enjoyment. Parents and coaches are the crazies that burn kids out.

Top players will move to THUSC anyways.

Last time I checked challenging oneself was fun but you keep setting the bar low for yourself and your kids, if you set it low enough you'll never be disappointed. Of course you'll never accomplish anything either and I wouldn't worry about getting burned out!

It is not the players asking for super teams it's the parents pushing kids so hard at such young ages that most quit and burn out. Many people are successful that don't attend Harvard or Yale. I am sure that many players who decide not to try to best on top team will be successful. It's the nut job parents who end up screwing teams with idea that it must be the best and consolidate all the talent. Fact is very few girls make it to top colleges and there is a lot of collateral damage from parents.

Nobody cares about "teams". Team come and go. Look after what's best for your DD.

Fact of life. Learn it early or suffer. Your choice.

Man are you damaged goods! If your kid loves the game and wants to put in the time why not have them surrounded by other top quality like minded players? Standing around waiting on others who either don't have the natural ability or don't have the interest just holds them back and slows their progress. Why would you want to hold them back or settle for mediocre?? Why settle for PCC if Harvard is an option? There's always rec league for the masses!

I know plenty of people who started out at PCC and have great jobs and pay. Your damaged goods. Your like those people who go to the casino and win some but, just are not satisfied so they keep betting and hoping the next bet will be the big payoff until they leave broke. Same thing with all this consolidation crap. In the end, girls quit because crazy parents always wanting more. How much do pro soccer players make anyhow? Focus on school and enjoy soccer. The chances that your 03 DD is the next superstar is very slim.

You keep striving for average my friend and if you're happy with that good for you. Lucky for all soccer fans there are a few players out there that didn't settle and set their goals a bit higher!

And I am sure the counselors are making lots of money for all those others. Thanks Mom and Dad.

Pro soccer players on women's side make very little.

There are no women pro soccer players. Being a professional suggest that you actually make a living wage at minimum. The only ones that don't have to have side jobs to survive are the WNT players that are paid by the fees we pay OYSA.
