And to comment on the upcoming Stars event, https://events.gotsport.com/events/d...?EventID=79358, isn't this event an uncommon gathering of some top state teams that would otherwise not compete together due to league logistics? Seems like a good event to spectate, even if no "dog in the fight"

But if you are worried stay home. To each his own. Superspreaders are parties indoors, gatherings. I’ve seen so many driveways filled with several cars clearly ignoring the requests by officials to minimize Thanksgiving. In two weeks we will have spikes of Covid from those gatherings but not from games or tournaments where everyone is wearing masks. It’s the unmasked parties, drinking, eating, hugging and laughing that’s where Covid spreads.

Ever try to clean hockey equipment? That stuff is a haven for infections under the best of circumstances.

Friendlies
I haven't heard of many if any cases of covid from soccer. That being said there were teams that dropped out of the last 2 weekends. That means players or families were exposed. Those teams did not play, so the games went on. Of course of a player did not have symptoms and was not tested there is some risk. Personally I think parents should stay in the car or home reduce the crowding but who want to drive to games and not watch.
