Dad, pretty sure HE didn't win 3 Class L State Titles and HE didn't go 11- at Hand his senior year.

    HIS TEAM DID.

    Jesus these f$@$@$ parents.

^ this, even with Covid. Top picks were given offers a long time ago. Hopefully he loves the school and the family can afford full freight or qualify for aid.

Anyone able to pay for club soccer can afford enough of the college tuition with student loan making up the rest.

He’s a good kid and works hard. He will have a great experience. Lot of haters out there.

He is a 2002 player. Several of his teammates are now Freshman at college. The GK from that team is playing at Northeastern, they also have a kid going to Stonehill and a few going to D3 schools like Union, Bates, Bowdoin and Wesleyan. Probably a few others. Good for Rush and good for these kids playing at the next level.

I've never seen a kid get more press coverage than this one. Either his parents work for a CT news organization or his club team can't believe they actually have a D1 recruit. Either way, it is over the top. Plenty of great high school players that play Power 5 soccer, basketball and football from CT and you never hear a thing about them

Maybe because they are in college already and haven’t been newsworthy
This kid had a great HS career and isn’t in college yet
Congratulate him and let it be- he will either be a player or he won’t but at least he gets a shot

No, most parents don't promote their kids all over the place. They know when their kids are good.

This Board is called “Talking Soccer”. What is wrong with posting about a young man who has had a stellar high school soccer career and is now going to play at the Alpha program in CT. Who cares who posted it, this is Talking Soccer! I’m rooting for this kid.

The kid as a player is not that good. Average at best.

So you think the kid sucks- that’s nice
Do you feel better about yourself?

Part of the discussion is the cold hard reality that lots of players with "great" HS careers flame out in college. Bad odds as it is in D1 sports, let alone getting recruited late and playing in a weak league. Maybe he will defy tough odds.

If you've spent any time here you learn the #1 rule - don't promote your kid on TS. It never goes well
