Not sure how, unless CT has changed criteria for the list, but there's at least the possibility of some RI teams swarming CT this weekend to cram in as many games as possible. The only question remaining is, were RI clubs keeping an eye on this and prepared to take advantage, or is it too short notice to work out all the scheduling logistics?
I believe the NE states have an agreement that as long as you're from the NE cohort and not here for 24 hours its ok. That would cover youth league games. If cases keep growing that might change but we're almost to the usual quiet period. Fingers crossed no major sports shutdowns until mid November

I’m just glad that Covid-19 doesn’t spread at all unless you’re somewhere for more than 24 hours. Huge relief.

Regardless of the 24-hour loophole, CJSA was not allowing RI teams in when they were on the list. Now that MA has found its way onto the CT restricted list, I would presume they would apply the same policy to MA teams.

If you're outside with a mask on, standing 6ft apart there's almost no risk. Wear a mask and your kids can play, then go home.

And the kids coming in from RI playing? Are they wearing a mask and standing 6 ft apart as well?

How much close contact do they have over the course of a game vs you standing next to an infected parent for 90 minutes?

If you're that paranoid don't have your kid play. You do realize CT has cases too right?

When a state is on the list, CJSA doesn't allow them to play games in CT. Games under another governing body may differ in their application of the rules. Bottom line.

RI is now off of the list, and EDP/NECSL have instructed teams to play their RI games and try to reschedule the ones that were postponed.

Does CJSA govern anything anymore? Do they govern teams that would play out of state teams?

EDP and NECSL teams in CT are registered with CJSA.

RI Surf is in NECSL leagues with CT teams because RI rules prevented them from playing in RI. CJSA oversees those games.
