What a star studded line up!

Is this a joke? This makes the NSL look like the ECNL. How will these clubs justify travel to play ****e games when 90% of the families within these clubs will barely cross the road for their practice session? Juventus ? Really?

I have never heard of a single one of these. Is this a town travel league?

9 clubs announcing participation in May. How many more look at it as a viable option between now and the start of the new season?

People want to mock this new league or lament that there’s “yet another league in town watering everything down”? Like it or not the current leagues in our region are broken. One is severely lacking in quality with idiots at the helm and the other is operated by 5-6 clubs with a puppet as the admin.

Is this perfect? Probably not. But it sounds like the people playing in it might actually have a say. What a novel concept. Every new idea is seen as a joke until it isn’t.

What exactly is your motivation for being negative about a new concept before it’s even begun? Before jumping into defensive mode over your current precious league setup, ask yourself this. What is a league meant to provide?

Well said. The only people that have a problem with a new league are those with something to lose from it. They feel threatened by it and its obvious. NEP is the most watered down farce right now. A few big clubs monopolizing and price gouging. Travel all over to play a different gps or nefc team every week. Club soccer is always rapidly changing. Look back just three years, and most of the good teams were in NSL (formerly MAPLE). So many mergers. Its not about quality soccer, its about a few clubs trying to control everything and cash in. It will eventually blow up and change.

Okay - let’s keep repeating the cycle instead of addressing the problems. Why would anyone join this new league? At least NEP gave you something. This gives you nothing.

EDP is a well run league along much of the East Coast. Seems like they would have a lot to offer clubs in New England. If a few NEP clubs start playing in EDP this could get very interesting.

                        -Good competition within reasonable travel
-Opportunities for participation in US Club Soccer’s National Championships, not as strong as strong as USYS, but a pathway that clubs desire
                        -opportunity for club growth

Why would an NEP club play EDP?

A new badge, new ownership group that is the same as NEPs?

If you think an NEP club is leaving to join this group of clubs then they shouldn’t be in the NEP to begin with

What has NEP given its clubs? Why say EDP gives nothing?
