Sometimes not easy to find the coach ..... you make it sound like you can go to the store and pick one.....not that easy

the kids that go to clubs when they are 15 are developed in most cases by coaches at smaller clubs. I pretty much can name these people at each club as my kids have played against a good chunk of them over last few years. They are out there. Not the OP

No it definitely isn't easy. Many parents don't know what a good coach looks like because they didn't play the game. Plus coaches move around all the time, either within their club or to other clubs. Aim to find a club that generally has a good supply of solid coaches. It you're hoping you get the one or two that are good (but not the rest) you should look elsewhere.

And where is that? Last club we were at it was 50/50 at best.

Oakwood used to be a thing, a decade ago. Now pretty much run down by daddy coaches and stuck in second-tier leagues.

You see OW's quality of coaching in OW's recruitments. OW releases a lot of OW-trained players (not the coaches' kids tho) at U13-14 and signs up a lot of players trained with other clubs. The OW players are released because the players trained at other clubs are better. And, by other clubs, this actually includes clubs like Simmons, Celtic, and even CJSA town clubs. While OW can't really do anything about the leagues it is stuck with, it could boost the quality of the coaching. Step 1: dump the daddy coaches.

What you are failing to realize is there is never more players that were trained at ulittle from any one club on the older teams than started ulittle at OW. So yes, while the non-athletic or non-soccer focused kids that started ulittle at OW are cut for soccer studs at other clubs, none of these clubs have more than 1 or 2 kids at OW at the older ages.

wow, youve got it down pat. you need a hobby of some sort. especially if your kids doesn't go there.
