Steal is not the right word here. The word is attract and that is what soccer clubs aim to do every year at tryouts. Quit crying into your pillow at night and get over it.

Lol read the prior conversation. It was about GPS not developing players. Whether you want to use a euphemism for steal is your priority, but steal sounds like the right term to me. The point was GPS doesn’t develop players or pay much attention to younger ages as other clubs do. They look to “take” players around U13/14 that were already developed. In fact, didn’t FYSA deem it as stealing when Cape reported you? How’d that 2004 team do by the way? Mixed Cape and Fire girls with all-star coach in DF — Cape (Final Four) and Fire (Round of 8) to a brisk exit in Round of 16 with the super team. Well done.

If players are leaving your club as they get older then your club is either pushing them to leave soccer or they are leaving so they can finally play soccer without the nepotism and favoritism that the clubs they are leaving are infamous for.

Or, they are being offered to play for free or unrealistic promises.

Who posted this? Someone who does not want a merge between the Fire and GPS West? Thought PW cleaned out the trash over the years at Fire or is this from some one trying to return for they miss using the club as their own private expense account or connections for their kids only..etc?

Give it up with the accusations of accounting with Fire. Unlike GPS, Fire is a non-profit where everything is public record. Go to a board meeting and ask to see it, or file for it with government. GPS and Azzuri both have 1 person making all the decisions. Go ask JD who is DOC, ED and President of BOD... if you have ever worked or belonged to a non-profit, you’ll understand how scary that is.

DF inherited good talent in past to make him a “good coach”. What team had he truly developed?

Wasn’t this discussed at a meeting that it seems that Non-profit means club does not pay taxes but money collected from fees and donations is up for personal grabs. Never mind reserve funds from Sharks being spent? And what happened to honest board members in the past when they ask questions instead of taking?

You definitely don’t know what a non-profit is then. A non-profit means you have a board of directors that make decisions. The non-profit, in this case the club, has control of the money; not one person making income off of it. Non-profit’s can have employees that make money, but no one is making money off of the club. All documents are public, so again, go seek them out yourself. I am with Fire, and have attended a board meeting when they discussed budget in past. They even gave me a copy of the budget and explained breakdown to me.

You obviously have a gripe and none of this is going to help or change your mind as you’ll deflect to something else you think or want to believe happened, but Fire is by far most upstanding and ethical club.
