Scotty is not on the board. Scotty does not get to make merger decisions.
What would you propose Scotty do to fix this problem?
This is a problem at the county level. Most competitive players/parents want the club right down the street. They aren't willing to drive an hour+ 4 times a week for practice and even fewer are prepared to play most of their leagues games out of state on a regular basis.

You don't get DA or ECNL and then grow into it. In order to get those leagues into Brevard county we have merge several clubs, not one or two but several. We would need to field multiple teams at each age group. Not two here and one there. On top of that some of those teams have to be successful on a larger stage.

Sadly, reality never stops the *itching and moaning. The demographics just aren't here like they are in an urban market. Parents already complain about driving over a bridge to get a kid to a practice 30 minutes away. Not a chance will enough families willingly take on the financial and time commitment necessary for ECNL and DA. Sure, some may want to do it, but not enough in each age/gender bracket to field the requisite competitive teams.

Groups can go back and forth on hear all day, and argue, but no matter who the head coach of the club is, it should be rotated every 4 or so years at least.

One has to question the mental stability of someone with such a disturbing long-term obsession.
Meanwhile, SCU continues to provide a quality product to the community. The overwhelming majority of members are happy with what they get for their money. Our members decide to come here based on personal experience and the advice of people they trust. They know better than to listen to TS trolls with an ax to grind.

Why do so many families sign up siblings and remain at the club after learning their first child sucks and didn't learn anything about soccer? There are families that have had 2, 3, 4 and 5 kids in the club and have remained at the club for 10+ years. Why would so many parents subject their children to this once the club failed so miserably on their first child?

Scott is okay, but his time has come and went.
Do you charge Scotty rent for living in your mentally-ill head all these years?

That's not enough. Why has his time come and went? Why should he leave? What would you do differently? The only argument being made is he's been here too long. That is not a reason to replace him in my mind.
