You've also missed the tryout windows at most clubs and will probably have to wait until fall to get her to some practices (if she's U14 or under). If she's HS aged HS teams don't practice until HS is over in November.

Done before the rule change. Plus I think she is on the 2002 team and chose to PG a year on the back end.[/QUOTE
She must be diesel to have committed to a Patriot league school as a sophomore, they usually don't go until Juniors. You need to meet specific academic requirements at those schools.

Why is she making the decision to PG if she is only a sophomore?

Question Man Responds

I don't think that they were taking a shot at Holy Cross. The point was that Oakwood coaches and owners always talk about playing time in college. Playing time is only a small part of the total package. More emphasis should be placed on the academics of the school and the scholarship money provided at some of these D1 schools.
Other than Holy Cross, the Oakwood list leaves a lot to be desired. They send kids off to Hartford when these same players can be getting D1 athletic money at better D1 soccer and academic schools. You put those same kids at CFC and they are getting more than 75% paid at places like Colgate, Bucknell and Northeastern.
How do you know for certain that any of these kids can do better just because they come to CFC? How do you know they are not already getting into the college of their choice?
And don't you think there is a direct relationship between scholarships and playing time? Do you really think these schools giving out money are sitting scholarship athletes and giving the bulk of playing time to walk-ons paying their own way? Even if a surprising freshman did show up, how long before that freshman is getting some scholarship money to keep here happy and in the school?
