With PR's new coaching gig this makes sense. The question is how much SUSA is willing to pony up to get it from him.

If Susa takes over, would they coach the teams?
And what is happening at Albertson with the ECNL teams then? Is PR exiting from that?
LI is a mess!

The other rumor floating around is that GDA doesn't happen in Fall of 2017 for either LI club and it is pushed out to 2018-2019 when they can get it right.

LM at BOTN is swearing that the discussion is SUSA taking over ECNL from East Meadow. But he has been predicting the death of East Meadow for years so this could just be LM screwing with East Meadow.

The part that would hurt is that half the kids on the older elite kids would need to be shifted to other teams within the organization due to the two year age groups for the top two divisions. You would also see a few SUSA coaches scrambling to get the appropriate licensing.

Every year Larry does this at tryout time. It's called FUD - Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt. Also known as Vaporware. He makes this crap up to keep kids from bolting his sponsors after paying top dollar for poor training the prior 12 months.
Get real people. PR shares power with nobody, ever! He couldn't even get fields built because he didn't want to partner with the developer. The idea of him selling out to SUSA, Surf or any other sponsor of BOTN is ludicrous.

What people (possibly even Susa personnel) don't realize is that most of the kids who stick with Susa, Atletico, Etc., are not looking to eat, breathe, sleep, live soccer-that's why they stay with clubs/leagues that offer a little more flexibility. So many of these kids are multi-sport athletes for both club and school. Even though soccer is their "top sport" they're almost equally as invested in basketball, track and even lacrosse. Even if my kids were willing to forego HS soccer, I don't think they'd be willing to give up track and basketball.
