Most of the defections are key USWNT members due to the CBA expiration. Furthermore they are expected back.

- lack of PT
- disappointment in training
- travel/commitment
- missing HS sports
- college placements sometimes no different than high level club players
It all leads to some folks questioning if it's worth it

It's no different to Region 1 or National League.
It will not have a discernible impact on DAP. It may impact other NPL leagues and USYS offerings but that's about it
ECNL had a reason to exist on the girls side as there was no DA for the best. But come, ECNL on the boys just creates more confusion and really, do we need another. But NPL and ECNL are run by US Club Soccer, so not I'm confused by these two existed together. I still kind of like good ole USYS and State Cup. Making the National League meants something, now ECNL, NPL or whatever...all mushed up. DA, playing at the highest level will mean something. I just wish that Top Drawer Soccer would start rating players according to the level of the league....I see three star players ranked that are half the talent of a starting DA player...how does this company exist and why do they have so much power.

TDS is a separate issue and its rankings are not only inaccurate and exclusionary, but also not relevant to most college coaches. College coaches know what the top leagues are, but not playing in a top league won't necessarily preclude you from getting looks either
