I would say that takes it to about 10 possibilities. Any guesses?

The cfc team is #1 in their conference and gets to play a #1 (in conference), a #6, and then another #1.
Fsa is at the bottom of the conference and they play a #2, #4 and #5.
The goal is to put on the best matches for colleges to evaluate from. Guaranteed that the two #1 v #1 games will be seen by more than 60 coaches each game.

Whatever happened to the rumor that multiple CA clubs were banding together to do the same? CA is the soccer epicenter. If that happened, game over. While all these leagues, sub leagues etc aren't good in the short term (splitting talent, confusion, constant movement) in long term it could be better if it becomes more regionally focused, less absurd travel.

“as well as offering the flexibility to play high school soccer.”
This is now silly. GDA is ECNL.

Clubs that are in both leagues can't have it both ways, so ECNL and GDA are pressuring clubs to pick one. So this new league in Texas allows teams to stay in GDA, and offer another option (not ECNL) that allows for high school play.
Bottom line: clubs will not be fielding teams in both GDA and ECNL for very much longer. Time to choose a horse.

In the end, US Soccer's league will be the destination for those that want to play at the highest level.
