just class it up CFC, class it up. Actually, probably only small minority of CFC parents would spew something like this. Lets see: Likely male with kid over the age of 13, cares about CFC being better than OW and FSA, likely big mouth, brags, over absorbed into daughters soccer, trash talking garbage mouth. I would say that takes it to about 10 possibilities. Any guesses?

It is a CFC ECNL 2002 dad, kid is probably player 9-15 on roster.

        Unlikely. Probably just a troll.

Most in that crowd are entirely focused on their own kid and their end game for college.

How does this help NE DA?
            OW traveling to Texas now?

The cfc team is #1 in their conference and gets to play a #1 (in conference), a #6, and then another #1.

Fsa is at the bottom of the conference and they play a #2, #4 and #5.

The goal is to put on the best matches for colleges to evaluate from. Guaranteed that the two #1 v #1 games will be seen by more than 60 coaches each game.

So basically Texas says we like 1/5th of the gda concept but hate the other 4/5s so we are making our own league. It will be just like ecnl.

Not a great ad for gda.

Whatever happened to the rumor that multiple CA clubs were banding together to do the same? CA is the soccer epicenter. If that happened, game over. While all these leagues, sub leagues etc aren't good in the short term (splitting talent, confusion, constant movement) in long term it could be better if it becomes more regionally focused, less absurd travel.

It doesn’t say anything about any of those clubs leaving the ecnl. They are creating a “b” team league for players who aspire to play GDA. Also, there is no mention of these clubs leaving ecnl anywhere on their website

“as well as offering the flexibility to play high school soccer.”

This is now silly. GDA is ECNL.

Shows that there is a big battle going on between ECNL and GDA. Both leagues are proclaiming they are the top of the pyramid for girls youth soccer.

Clubs that are in both leagues can't have it both ways, so ECNL and GDA are pressuring clubs to pick one. So this new league in Texas allows teams to stay in GDA, and offer another option (not ECNL) that allows for high school play.

Bottom line: clubs will not be fielding teams in both GDA and ECNL for very much longer. Time to choose a horse.

GDA should have banned HS from the start. There's a lot of other things they should have done too, but grandfathering in HS didn't give them an accurate picture about the level of true interest in the league.

In the end, US Soccer's league will be the destination for those that want to play at the highest level.

Not if clubs like PDA, Stars, Michigan keep dropping out. The word is additional heavy hitters are leaving soon, they just didn't want to coordinate with the aforementioned three.

It will probably end up in the middle of those two statements above. GDA will survive but it will be smaller.
