Does NYSC pass top female players up to NYCFC DA?

I don't think there is any real connection among those clubs on the girl's sides. I believe the affiliate status is just a way to give a club an association on the boy's side to an MLS team.

NYSC GDA is an affiliate of Sky Blue (NWSL)....not sure what each club gets out of it other than perhaps some marketing buzz.

PDA is also an affiliate of Sky Blue, but now that PDA has dropped GDA I would think the affiliation will be terminated for next season.

Yes they do, just not willingly. They also pass players to WC Ecnl, Cfc, pda, match fit, etc.. This year will be no different. Prior to this year it was because the Ecnl platform was unquestionably the top for exposure. Now they have gda which is similar to Ecnl but the new coaching staff is not qualified. Let’s just say that there are MANY unhappy families.

OK, but that is the same as any player moving clubs in search of greener pastures. There is no direct path or coach to coach placement onto the NYCFC teams.

Not the poster but loads of DA clubs have unqualified coaches. Even in BDA compliance with licensure is inconsistent.

Right. On the girl's side NYSC/NYCFC have ZERO connection. On the boys sidet he youth teams play the affiliate league and NYCFC gets to basically take whomever they want from NYSC (same as they do from other affiliates). NYSC does send a fair # of boys to NYCFC.

Will any girls GDA players be moving to NYCFC? Is such a move considered an upgrade similar to what happens on the boys side?

kinda hard to say what is the best move for any particular player since each player is unique. The NYCFC gda has good reputation. Location can be difficult for players on the other side of the river.

False, as several girls come from CT, and central NJ, 1+ hours to practice. Its all in your mind, and the ONLY thing NYSC has to keep their better players from trying-out, but honestly, there might be 1-2 players that might make the NYCFC teams, thats it.

It is not all in your mind - it is all in your car. Kids apparently come from Albany to play. I did not say do not do it. Everyone knows where it is and can decide for themselves.

How many CT girls are on the rosters of the NYCFC GDA teams? Seems like a nasty drive over the bridge four times a week.

Is NYCFC GDA subsidized by the MLS parent? Or do the girls pay full price to play?

I would guess that all of those players from CT and central NJ think that the commute is difficult. They choose to do it, but that doesn't mean it isn't difficult.

The CT kids are probably all lower CT and it's counter commute going down (coming could be hell but practices are usually later). They only CT GDA option is OW. Not that good a club and you have to go with rush hour traffic. I did that for years. It's hell. NYSC? Well... NJ is so location dependent. Once you start looking at 1.5+ hours round trip 5 times per week, that's a reall commitment.
