Why congrats to Brandon FC? Is is not the players that made it, congrats to them? Or are you trying to suggest that Brandon developed all these players that made ODP. Also, where are the 95 and 96 age groups. Guess no development or not enough recruiting at that age?

Is PS the goalkeeper or is it the FCA keeper that won the usl super y finals with his team or is brandon going to take credit for developing him?

I agree an odd thread to only congrat Brandon players. However, it is a big accomplishment and it is good sign when one club can round up this much talent. Develop or not, they still decided to come together at Brandon, and not your club. So please stop with the hate and for once in your life be happy for someone else. Use this team and players as a benchmark if you sons plays against. If they compete well then its an indication your son is progressing and can show well against some of the best talent in the country. That's a good thing, isn't it? I would much rather know I'm playing against (and even beating) high quality talent and competing than to just beat up on "rec" players all day. Enjoy, and again be happy for young kids, even if they don't have your last name.

Sorry about that. You know what they say about assumptions. I'm not affiliated with Brandon and just glanced at list.
Not knowing much about Super Y, how many Super Y teams are formed in Tampa? Does the tampa bay area just have 1 team? Thanks

                Hmm...

USL/Super-Y headquarters Tampa, FL. VSI moves into Tampa, FL for USL team(s).

New merger of Brandon FC + WFP = VSI West Florida Flames.

USL/Super-Y and Brandon FC couldn't possibly suck up to each other any more.

Epitomizes the ugly politics of youth club soccer.

Vanderluit developed by Fusion, Hall developed by RSL (now TBU south) ... Get a life!

I agree with your post. My son is not from Brandon but did attend the Camp and was not chosen for a select team. However, he was with a very talented group of players and enjoyed playing with others at a higher level. This camp gave him the perspective to realize that he is amongst the best at his age in his position. The clubs may help develop the players, but it takes hardwork, motivation, and dedication for a young teenager to get to this level. Great job boys, no matter what club you are currently representing. Put the club politics aside and give credit to the players for once. Yes, good coaching is extremely important, but it's much easier to coach a kid with talent than one without. I am happy to see FL represented well, no matter what club the players are from.

Hall is/was developed by his father not RSL. "Developed" is an overused term and clubs often get way to much credit for a kids soccer growth and development. And unfortunately, clubs are also unneccesarily badmouthed and penalized for lack of development. If 30 kids start together at u9 (same club and coach) and only 1 kid makes the u14 national team, what does that say about coach, trainer, and club? nothing much, good or bad.

Hall developed by RSL or by his dad?

He's been "developed" at numerous clubs over the past 5-6 years. Just about everyone can claim a piece of the pie.
