The wording from US soccer was “several DA clubs” were not interested in continuing with DA. It’s already been covered that Cony was no fan of DA and was pulling Westside out. Any word on the other clubs? I would think WashT?

Either you weee not around or you are living revisionist history. Timbers Clubs were not the only members of OPL. Playing in a meaningless league such as our local DA league with no standing, no state cup, no scores is not in our dna unless you liked participation trophies. As far as exposure? To what? To our local DA clubs? This can all be accomplished by playing in your local OYSA league with all other clubs.

Word on the street is that remaining DA teams trying to keep a separate league or join up with more regional leagues. Little interest in OYSA.

Those clubs tried to join Boys ECNL but it was to late for a few and others weren’t good enough.

              Help in framing your narrative,
              4 local clubs:
              *OPFC, Xforg losc/wufc/sc...
              *Neu/bridlemile, Utd pdx...
              *fc pdx.....and *salem/ capital
are the bareBone remains of the former little DA experimental league.. now Left without a scrimmage fest DA for the 06 & 07 boys ages, they have to find a league for their 8 ousted teams....Big whoop de do..

This lot puts more effort into club branding than finding a league for 8 teamz.

Hopefully the OYSA will allow them back in their leagues.

              Yawn.

Anyone can play in OYSA; that's the whole point of an open state association.

The stupidity is when clubs try to join or form overrated closed leagues, either a) so they can trick gullible parents into thinking they are elite, b) association politics (i.e. "we hate Peregrine"), or c) to avoid traveling to Medford.

Where the four leftovers to try and form their own league, perhaps with other conniving clubs like ADF, the rest of us will be laughing.

Go ahead. Tell the world you don't cast pearls before swine. We all know better.

I’ll take a cliub trying to improve and offer a better product over a team that thinks their chit don’t stink while LITERALLY everyone knows it does. Good on ya Timbers and you Timbers lemmings. Go Westside!

So while all of us were napping the four tooth, gun toting vantuckians outplayed us all? How is that possible? All of the top NW teams will now be in the boys ECNL while we scrap around here in Portland? Time to move.

It’s not that bad of a drive to harmony to practice. We do it four days a week. Set schedule all year. Same location-same time. We used to move locations as field became available. It’s much better dealing with a commute to Vancouver than dealing with schedule changes all year long

It's just because of high school. They can't do OYSA above U14.

Driving to Seattle will get old, I'm sure.

                            What is the difference ?

What is the difference ? Little DA, OYSA, Boys ECNL, it is just the same teams.

                              It would never get old.
5 trips a year is easy. I would rather drive five times to Seattle than one time to Medford.

Seattle teams don't want your club up there wasting their time. They have better competition then our acronym wasteland. Medford travel is crazy for PDX teams, jus desserts.

Girls ECNL will at least let our clubs pay to travel to 'showcases' without any interested coaches on the sidelines.
