Central and Western Mass use the Walker System. Eastern Mass uses Winning Percentage. If you are wondering about Entral Mass or Western Mass, you will need an insider/coach/administrator to show you how it is calculated,

From what I can see the "Walker System" is just some people picking whatever team they want.

          Look at West division 4.

          Seed 1: Lenox (7-9-2)
Seed 2: Pioneer Valley Reg (9-3-3)
Seed 3: Westfield Tech (17-1-0) really (19-1-0) but will explain that later.

Doesn't make sense, so maybe the factor in which opponents are in a higher division and made it into the playoffs?

Lenox had no wins over an opponent in a higher division that made it into the playoffs. They did have 4 wins over other d4 teams that made it in though. They tied 2 games to d3 teams that made it in. As a note, Lenox also did not have a single win in their class grouping (0-6-2).

Pioneer Valley Reg had 1 win over a d3 opponent that made it into the playoffs, and 2 wins against d4 teams that made it in. They tied 2 games to a d1 team that also made it in.

Westfield Tech played in the MVADA Small (Voc/Tech) State Championship, and won it, so played 2 more games than either of the other teams, which we won't count. They had 3 wins against a d1 opponent that made it into the playoffs. 2 wins against d3 teams that made it in, but we won't count as it was an extra game, so 1 win. 5 wins against d4 teams that made it in, again one won't count as it was an extra game, so 4 wins.

Any way you cut it, logic would state that Westfield Tech, should be seed #1. Pioneer Valley Reg as seed #2, and Lenox as not winning half their games should not even be in the tournament. But somehow they are Seed #1????

Tell me someone is not getting some good money for that seeding!
          What a joke!

Apparently they have formed a new group within the MIAA studying the entire tournament structure, all sports (except football probably). There was an article in the Boston Globe today about it. These type of issues were mentioned in the article and rightly so.
