EDP is a better system than NEP. There are inter-conference showcases in EDP too. Pathways to national league.. its just better. It will take time, but it will happen.

NEP has all that through NPL, and it’s already established. Nothing to see here. Moving on.

NEP has teams from New England in those showcases. No ERL, no National League. EDP is a pathway to these competitions, which are far better than anything we have in New England now. Clubs from NJ, NYE, PAE, VA, and MD are far better competition than what we have in New England. Clubs will see that if they want to make a name for themselves and provide the best competition for their players, EDP will be the way forward. Also, clubs with lower costs will start to rise again due to the growing unrest about mergers and fee increases, and EDP's promotion/relegation system will allow these clubs to play against the best without the hefty fees that come with NEP membership.

Aren't better teams already testing themselves against competition in NJ, NYE, PAE, etc through a couple tournaments a year. For all the complaints about travel on this board, you wouldn't think people would want to add even more trips south for inter-conference showcases (many clubs won't want to ditch those prestigious tournaments). Perhaps some clubs will see it as being more economical, as you mentioned, due to NEP membership fees, but I can imagine EDP fees will be quite a bit more than current NSL fees due to the showcases and national competition opportunities.

Funny to see how brainwashed some parents are. Most of MA teams that join EDP are not even placed in the top divisions/brackets. Yet, parents spend fortune on travel and think they’re playing against the better competition.

Yeah that EDP post is bs. I mean seriously if an NSL team joined the EDP they aren’t anywhere near top play. Maybe the league as a whole gets swallowed up into EDP but it’s not a significant step forward for NSL clubs. Let’s be honest too some of these NSL clubs charge as much as NEP clubs so the price difference isn’t as big as you would think.

EDP doesn't have MA teams yet, so I don't know how you could say that.

So you’re saying that NSL is going to join the EDP?

Rumor is CFC and bolts have been talking. Mutiny to WUP has been floated around the board.

Select, explosion, Strikers, LPDA, and a few others.

I’d expect select merging to the big announcement

Select is already in the NEP. Why would they merge?

They get ECNL access with bolts which is a huge drawn for recruiting girls in the region.

                                SSS doesn't need ECNL.
