South florida soccer clubs in miami

All the clubs have one interest and at the end of the day it's your money. The interest in the kids and its community is not a priority. Coaches are the same. They stack up teams to over capacity and charge outrages fees. In some case they charge mandatory raffles and club donations. Parents pay because clubs know they dont have much of a choice. All we want is place for our kids to play and develop. Where does all that money go? They say its a nonprofit organization. All the clubs in south florida have a high turn over rates. From parents moving there kids to coaches quitting or getting fired. At the end of the day peaple end up in new clubs with the same players, coaches and reasons why they left in the first place. Which club has the best foundation and more interest in the kids and less on the money?

Not very many have the true foundation to build soccer players. Most clubs are a business and nothing else; however, some of those businesses began to promote their own; lost years as a soccer player in decades past, or better yet, to live through their child. They are stuck, and have lost sight of the true soccer, training, and development.

Disagree. There are clubs in Miami that are truly community clubs and care about its players. The problem is they are the smaller club thus no name recognition in the big soccer picture. This is ultimately where parents with very good players want to be (exposure).

If I wrote a few samples of small clubs that truly are concerned about the players, people on here would bash them.

Perhaps you should do some research. Look at the age group your child is in and look for the team that the same age group is doing well. Notice I didn't write winning all the time. And give that small club a chance

I totally agree with this post. There are smaller clubs that do focus on the development of the kids and do not build squad for the win now mentality. Look at the teams with an eye to who is playing from the back, are the forwards/strikers passing, does the team reset?

From a coach's perspective you have to understand the differences that will exist in and around every team. The coach has a style of play they prefer and are convinced works. However they will have to adjust many times in the youth world depending on your particular player's abilities and strengths. If you only play in south florida then you can play a "prettier" style of soccer.but when you go on the road up north, then you will have to adjust your playing style to the opponent. Most parents don't understand the game and the strategy well enough to comprehend this. Most parents just sit and complain that we don't practice this or that, that we couldn't stop this or that. Really? The coach will devise a plan starting at the beginning of the season depending on the talent pool existing on the team. Adjust it throughout the year and adjust for the lack of true commitment from the players and parents. If these players and parents were truly interested in the kids development, they would be MUCH more supportive and devoted to everything, including having their kids manage their time better to become the best they could be at school and this sport. But mostly it is the parents that stink up everything at every club. So, don't look so much at the club alone, but look at where the commitment from both parents especially and the kids is the highest.
