There is a plan to resod all of the fields, but instead of doing it the way the consultants recommended, the county is going to kill out existing grass and weeds and then plow under the existing fields and reside over the top of the old grass. This will improve the surfaces but there is a good chance we will be having the same conversation next summer. The county is going to spend about $400K to resod the areas and try to fix some of the drainage issues and the work will be done in the next 2-3 months. No artificial turf was approved for Ed Radice.

Hope all is well. The County has approved the use of up to $1.7 million for re-sodding, drainage improvements, and replacement of two sod fields with artificial turf at the Ed Radice Sports Complex.
The re-sodding and drainage improvements will be completed in 2015, while the artificial fields will be completed in 2016.
If you need anything else, just let me know. Thanks.
