That was what I was thinking as well.

The guy was making less and less sense with each post.

Pretty sore from losing to Jesuit in girls soccer.

The boys operate under the same guidelines, but there is not as much of an issue since they are not as dominate.

    Same for football.

It’s fine. Jesuit gets an asterisk next to every win in every sport.

It’s kibd of like if the U18 WNT played Eastside Timbers U18. Eastside has 5-6 really good local players. WNT is recruiting from all over.
Good idea and for every team that loses to Jesuit or another private school, we should change their trophies from runner up to champion.

Also, the schools with open enrollment we should do the same and put an * to their wins. That will show them!

Eastside Timbers is really bad on the girl's side and I have no idea where you are going with that argument.

Says the dad who’s ecnl snowflake got beat out for a spot on varsity by a gps player. Anything to put “varsity” on the ‘ol resume aye?

Says the dad whose daughter plays at a 5a school and knows what the result would be if his school played against Jesuit JV squad.

5A parents are well aware of how low on the totem pole they are. Best 5A team gets throttled by middle of the road 6A team. Just like facts.

cool, like a Varsity 1 and Varsity 2. They could play each other in the State Championship!
Great idea. Plus they can put Varsity on their profiles and more kids will smile. Except the JV2 team. But lets put them in 5A as well so they can have Varsity on their profiles for Stanford. What to do with JV3 might be a little more difficult.

Not entirely true they kept their two top scores in one until 15 min before the end of the game and the other 9 min left. One had 2 goals and the other had 4 and they were continuing and pressing to score again.

Which game are you talking about?

If they have that many great players, I don’t see why they can’t have two varsity teams. Artificially making it so lesser players from a different school can do better doesn’t help anyone. Yah, you came in 2nd but would’ve lost to Jesuit JV. There’s no fun in that. Never mind. 5A likes winning, 4 A likes winning, 3A likes winning even tho they all know they couldn’t compete at all in the higher divisions. Everybody gets a trophy!

Yes and coaches do have input in admissions.
There really should be a league for public schools and a league for private schools.

Public would be 90% neighborhood kids.

Private could have kids from all over the state.

                          Agreed 100%.
Why play Jesuit to get pounded 9-0? Teams should boycott by forfeiting all Jesuit games.

We are looking forward to playing them in league regardless. We have two girls that night match up well but the rest of the team will play hard and make them work. I think the running handicap/spread is 5.5 goals. So if you keep it under a 6 goal loss you should be happy.

So they still do the synchronized swimming like goofy warm up?

Yes, even JV2s do the flow snap

Or you can be like the West Salem coach and seek out the best competition possible.
