To all those Fury/ex-Alby players that plan on playing HS -- note that anyone who plans to play HS cannot be rostered at all for the GDA team at the same time. The only (questionable at best) way around this is to not be rostered for GDA until after HS season has concluded.

It is amazing how many people are willing to listen to lies after lies from that organization and still write checks.

Glad we left that rodeo. Read between the lines as to when he said it “ it is a family decision” what does that mean?. “Don’t ask, don’t tell”
If something bad happens, it’s on “ you” not him. He said on the record he doesn’t think it’s a good idea.

i think you are way off. the most athletic teams will win. we can argue all day about what is kick and run or technical, but what wins in womens soccer is effective soccer. At the stage the womens game is at , thats athletes > technicians. Even at the WWC we see this.

funny..the latest U20 team had 2 NYCFC players on the field out of 11 and players from Stars and PDA. Seems like whatever you think of the teams, they are capable of helping the development of some of the best players in the country.

                Just saying

Many more want to play but just aren't college team material. Some players would be better off using the $ on test prep amd tutors. Academic money can be as good as if not better than athletic and sticks all 4 years.

The problem many soccer families have is they make enough to afford costly activities but not enough to afford $65K a year.
this is nonsense. i expected a payout. here is a dose of reality. every kid playing at the self titled elite level SHOULD be good enough to expect a payout. athletic money does stick all 4 years at many schools.

if you want to play, thats great. the way these clubs are set up, there is no low cost, fun play because there is no real pyramid. Everyone has jumped on the ultra competitive travel band wagon.

nice. way to twist the point. what is your kid in this for? I assume to get better and go to a good school. or is it to win youth titles as well? either way. the NE clubs are well represented at teh highest levels in College and YNTs. the implication that because they are not winning titles means they are bad at on of their mission - to develop players and get them into college- is flat out wrong.

The U20 WNT lost 3:2 to Germany and 3:2 to France in the last 3 games. Not sure if clubs are helping or holding progress back.

A poster claimed that the presence of a few players from the NE on youth NTs was somehow the seal of approval and proof of quality for this whole screwed-up system. Another player mocked that claim. That is all.

no that not the claim at all. its proof that if the players work hard enough and are food enough the NE team they play for is not an impediment. There is a general assumption that west is best. thats just not true.

The biggest myth that needs busting is parents out there blaming the system. its not ideal, but its not stopping kids who want it. Maybe the reality is your kid is not good enough or not working hard enough or does not really want it. All of which are fine.

no they didnt. they beat germany 1-0 and lost 1-3 in the last 2 games.not sure how that is actually relevant, but lets get facts correct

Of course that is the reality for my kid and every other kid but without exception, all poor reviews and legitimate criticism are met with that exact same chestnut. The gda trots that out now just like the ecnl used too as the answer to all criticism and it is tiresome.
