    Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart University Director of Athletics Bobby Valentine announced Tuesday that head women's soccer coach Kim Banner is no longer with the University.

In 2017, Banner completed her 13th year as head coach of the Pioneer women's soccer team.

A national search for the next SHU women's soccer coach will begin immediately.

It's much quieter in this part of the state. She just liked to scream all day. Crazy screaming coach

Hope they really want the school because they might not like whoever the new coach is. It's probably too late for everyone, but under those circumstances could a player back out of the deal?

That's why you pick the school first and the soccer team second. Duh.

Well that is just stupid, you can’t go pro with that thought process

Of course but it rarely is that clear cut. For athletes there's a combination of factors. Liking the coach or the likelihood of playing is a big deciding factor, and can give one school the edge over another. $ matter for some families too. Take that away and then maybe choice #2 is now much more appealing.

I’m going to guess none of the current or incoming players will be crying over the coaching change. Been a long time coming. Now they have a chance to actually do something.

You would have to love the school; no one is going to SH for the soccer or the now-old coach.

How is the Sacred Heart Job viewed? Can you win there? Haven’t been to the school in a while but heard it’s been built up quite a bit.
