Lights cost money, that’s why you don’t have them and that’s why it took a whole year to get your second field completed, which by the way is still not done

Without lights, and outdoor field is essesntially useless Monday thru Friday unless it’s summer. People who are arguing otherwise haven’t thought this thru. Does CFC’s other outdoor field have lights? If no, perhaps zoning prohibits them and that would indicate a really poor choice of location for this facility. Lights are an absolute must.

In terms of the total cost to put in a new turf with lights (running wires, poles and hardware) the lights are only a small percentage, probably not even 100k.

Do millennial’s already have teenage children? What’s with all of this drama?
I have one kid that went through the United program and another in it now. In prior years the program was based at Post U. One field no lights. Indoor was a the arena in Hamden. Games mostly at Post but occasional use of other fields.
Last time I checked, CFC is going to have side by side turf fields and a brand new indoor building? Pretty solid upgrade!
The great thing is assuming your kid is good enough you can vote with your checkbook. If exterior illumination (movie reference) is critical then I’d suggest a drive up to Farmington
