I can see Stars West players moving onto Ecnl since they did well, but not FC Boston NPL.
They went 5-15-4 averaging 1 goal for and 2.3 goals against.

Do you not think there are not really too level players on weaker teams? It happens for many different reasons including; when the player developed ( maybe they were just below EC in a level when they made a team, but developed through puberty, extra training, whatever... to a higher level during the year), perhaps the original ECNL coach missed the talent in front of them during tryouts last year, or already had enough in that particular position. Or perhaps they simply were not prepared yet in their personal life to commit to soccer at the highest level yet, because of money, travel, other sports, etc, etc. and those circumstances changed. It's just sometimes there are really good players not playing at the highest level for whatever reason, and for you to assume otherwise is naïve.

So players from the bottom of the northeast NPL league made stars ecnl
But only (maybe) one from stars NPL, who finished 2nd in the league, made it to ecnl/da?

I thought the central NPL was a strong team with some good players.

I love all the posts squealing about how a player on a "weak" team or lower level team made some uppper level team over those players on a stronger team...

Selection is very much imperfect and there are plenty of talented players in NPL, NEP, and even NSL that probably belong playing ECNL or DAP over some others. Get over it. You're special little snowflake isn't unique or gifted becuase of the badge on her jersey. Coaches get it wrong all the time and the size of your bank account doesn't make your D a D1 soccer star or NT material.

OMG !! Again and for the last time.......Stars central has certain kids labeled as NPL so there you are for life. Why would JD waste his time talking up a nil league to a whole new team when you as paying parents conceded along with him that your kid belongs there. It's so much less labor on stars central's part to offer the jump to new out of region kids (especially from other clubs) jez

Thank you for this. Sanity among the insane. I thought the point was to improve, not to have teams set in stone. It is funny that every thread seems to contain more commentary about BBA. Maybe someone should start a BBA thread.

The kid going to Notre Dame was NPL for a few seasons when younger...Just saying

Exactly there are very good players in all leagues if the kids are happy in whichever league they play there who cares,
