Exactly. July tournament finals are held for ECNL, GDA, NPL, etc. Nothing unusual.

Some just seem to not want their beach time affected and aren't used to being in contention at that point, I guess.

Will be funny to watch all the players dying from heat stroke in hot, muggy VA in July, just a few weeks after they might be able to start practicing again in their far cooler climates.

You only need a couple of weeks to acclimate to the heat. Train outside in June up here and you'll be ready for down there.

Not sure what your kids are doing, but mine are working out daily. Cardio, intervals and sprints, P90x videos, juggling, foot work, etc.

Just because soccer isn't going, doesn't stop people from training on their own.

Can't be any worse than in New England, when there are summer camps going on; or in Colorado, when it was over 100 every day and the sun was searing on your scalps.
