How will NCAA revised budgets due to CV-19 impact Soccer?

    NCAA revised distributions:
    D1- 600M now 225
    D2- 43.9M to 13.9
    D3- 32.7M to 10.7

    What does this mean?

Programs will be cut and smaller budgets. 2020 budgets are set but look to major adjustments to 2021. I do wonder if committed 2021s will get adjusted re-offers. No football and b-ball money is going to have a huge impact on other programs.

NCAA? Budgets? You dont think the schools will have a bigger say. It's NCAA sports and many schools have no extra money to accommodate extras in sports. Most small sports (like soccer) and schools will probably just pick up where they left off when they can. I dont think they are putting as much thought into this as you are. It's not that important in the grand scheme of things.

You don't understand how some schools rely on NCAA money for other items in their budgets. Travel, stipends, equipment.

Ohhh the poor P5's. Guess they will have to not put kids up in hotel rooms for hone games. Dorms work for everyone else.

Exactly. Put your hat away NCAA. No donations here.

Yes NCAA contributions keep some programs running in the black. The losses from March Madness to the NCAA and schools will be huge.

More people will be paying for their kids to play college soccer . It’s not that important in the grand scheme of things. Schools will have bigger fish to fry, then worrying if your Mia gets a ride.

Maybe this is an opportune time for a reset of priorities.
College should be about education, not sports.
Cut sports scholarships, coaches’ exorbitant salaries, the overall insanity of the programs and maybe even the number of schools.
Rein in the spending and focus on educating fewer students...college is not for everyone, stop making it seem so necessary.

Can have both and it will not affect girls soccer at all unless you attend a big football or b-ball school.

Football money dwarfs all others, basketball included. They got their season in and conferences had payouts. Some losses for big bball conferences and NCAA could care less about every other sport.
