The Logical Voice
You all focus on the CIAC, but you forget, that the decision on how to treat trans students is determined first and foremost by the CAS, the CT Association of Schools. These administrators make the decisions, in line with state law, on how trans kids are to be treated in school. The CIAC's decisions regarding athletic eligibility are simply an extension of those policies as they apply to athletics. The CAS has determined that students who pass the processes established for gender identification must be treated as that gender in all regards, including athletics. This isn't an arbitrary decision made by the CIAC at all. Further, the CAS does not require trans athletes to undergo any hormonal treatments in their processes. I'm not sure many state school associations even make that requirement. It's definitely a requirement within the NCAA.
If you don't understand the system, you never get to smear the proper people. And you all so dearly love to smear.....
