The letter doesn’t say it is already spent. It says we will continue to pay staff and coaches because they have families. How many coaches have FESA as their only job. Most work in other day jobs or in the service industry. Not sure any coach would ever expect to be paid for not coaching or traveling for games.

Would he take a pay cut to help the other coaches out if it came down to it. Remember he grew up with no football boots and knows what real poverty is! I think we know the answer to this.

Our director has told us that they have been in touch with FESA, Clay, south Florida and teams from ATL trying to extend the season if possible depending on what is happening in mid-May

Well if FESA does not let go of any employees they can apply for a small business relief check.

Can non profit groups get these handouts?

Yes, from what I have read, as long as they have less than 500 employees which I'm sure they do, they would qualify. It would allow them to pay employees and also issue refunds to parents. As long as they keep all the employees they had at the beginning the loan is forgiven.

Then the board members need to make sure they are filing for that loan! Coaches must be feeling happy to collect a paycheck to do nothing.

I think it comes in the form of a loan from the small business administration. I'll have to get into the stimulus package language a little deeper to better understand.

Feel bad for any competitive coach es who quit. They could have been collecting a huge paycheck for no training or long weekends on the road.
