Now that we have the go ahead from the Governor we can stop practicing in secret. Which clubs and towns are going to start practices next week? I want to know partly because we are looking for a club soccer team and want to go to the club that creates opportunities for kids to play now not promising later. I’m not signing a contract with a club if they aren’t even practicing when we are now allowed. Which club and towns are most competitive and passionate?

Excuses. Open the fields. Games are being played in other states. If casinos (indoors) are safe, soccer fields are.

So far I’m hearing from parents that SURF, BAYSIDE, and NEFC been practicing in small groups now starting team practices this week. Towns that are considering starting up soon are Lincoln, Warwick, and Portsmouth. Still not starting Coventry, East Prov and Tiverton. Post your town or club here so we can get an idea. Reopen soccer fields! Also heard WIDE WORLD looking at opening for practice.

The competitive towns were already on the fields just practicing with enthusiastic dads. Good for them. The clubs are carefully flying under the radar but also practicing in person. We will be leaving our club if they don't start up practices in the next week or so to a club that owns their own fields or is at least presently renting a field. Not watching more time go by while others are practicing in other clubs.

Please post your club or town that started today because quite frankly we are liking switching to one of them. We need to be with a club that is laser focused on making up missed spring training sessions and games.

I heard the update, Coventry is starting up!!! Yea. Glad they changed their minds. Let’s do this Spring town soccer make up over the summer! Do it now before we get shut down again this winter during flu season.
