Well, when people rob you it tends to be upsetting.

Soccer is just soccer but kids need to be held responsible. As a coach, If i do not see you out working and out performing others in practice and/or games...you will be benched. I don't care how much your parents paid. If you don't want to work, this is not for you,
Dumb analogy. The difference is your boss pays you for performing. Susa doesn't pay you. You pay SUSA(too much) for a child to play soccer. If they take your money and don't play your kid you should leave. They have several teams so they should put you on a team where you can get time. In high school if your not good enough you don't make the team.

Now its even crazier as they are taking your money and there in NO SOCCER FOR ANYONE. Amazing anybody would go back to this club.

Eh, I think it depends on where you are financially, what makes your child happy and what you are hoping to get out of it. It's not as black and white...

"develop real talent"? You're kidding right? SUSA can't develop real talent. They are a joke in that regard. What they know how to do is buy up established teams and charge you a premium regardless of how good or bad you are.

if the kid is not being played...its not the coaches fault the kid is not meeting the coaches expectations...its the kids fault...its not personal, just business. You are right though, find another team where the kid will be more competitive....we all have to be real cognizant of our kids abilities. not everyone is meant to be a soccer superstar.

Do not select players for the team that are not capable of performing at the level of play for the team. This is not difficult to understand. Every player on the team understands this. If the coach can not understand it, find a better coach or put the kids in charge of roster selection. These players are teens, not U9. There are not going to be be any big surprises.

New kids are usually added to rosters based on limited viewing, like what they see at tryouts and maybe a couple of practices. Maybe the kid happened to play really well in those limited opportunities, but then when being seen every day at practice some of the shine dims? Or maybe between the tryout in March and the start of the season in September other players grew/matured, or just simply got better, and the kid fell behind? So many reasons why a coach might have selected a player to join the team and later decides to not give them as much playing time as they want.

My recommendation: Have the kid ask the coach what s/he needs to do to get more playing time, and then the kid will have some goals to shoot for to earn some more playing time.

There are very few new or zero players into the deluxe youth soccer community from U14 up. Very few. The players have usually been playing and learning locally for years. Been at this a long time and have had a new talent arrive from out of the blue by teen years. Vast majority if not all of the players are known.

With all the changes in the last few years (eg. birth year re-alignment, DA, Albertson losing ECNL, etc), that would be crazy if an unknown player did not show up.

They just cycle from team to team. In the same region. It is a merry go round but it is the same players getting on and off. It is not like the lax or track studs decide to change to soccer.

Changing their kit yet again. Will be the third straight year. So besides not getting a respectful refund..get a BS credit, now expected to pay the $500 deposit, begin installments, and also buy a $300 kit. All while no word if even playing in fall. And and force majeure. Yeah, no! Another reason to just play soccer with your town friends and have a good time.
