Sure they are happy. Most kids go to college, and of those that do, most are happy with their choices and options. The point is that most of these kids would have gotten into these schools, regardless of soccer, and most are still paying like everybody else.

What is you point? Jealousy is ugly on you? These girls are playing college soccer AND going to great colleges. My D is on this list - yes she probably could have gotten into the college without soccer - but it’s a very very good school and NO we aren’t paying like everyone else - whether a girl gets a full-ride or partial ride every bit helps and is an accomplishment.

Obviously many list are paying since the list includes some D3 - but maybe they will receive merit money because not only are they great soccer players but they’re so damn smart.

Some boys going to top schools (Georgetown, Stanford, Syracuse etc.) probably getting good money.

          Definitely many more than that

That's not how it works. There only 9.9 men's scholarships per team and many programs have international players taking some of those. Women have 14.0 and far fewer international players. There's also 100 more women's teams than men's. It all.makes it less likely for male players get decent money

Those are old numbers. With the huge hit to NCAA revenues, most schools have indicated that allocations of athletic scholarships to non-income producing sports will be going down across the board. Not looking good for classes of 2021 and 2022 of either gender in soccer.

The point is that people get all uptight about these lists, when all they are is simply a list of kids that play soccer and the colleges that they have decided to attend. The point is that most of these lists aren’t indicative of athletic scholarships, because very few kids are getting athletic scholarships of any amount. Pointing out a reality is not jealousy. In your case though...Braggarts gotta Brag.

Different poster. You are right, and the reality you call out is accurate.

Some might question your motivation for posting this. Are you providing a public service, so that families with younger players are less likely to be fooled into thinking that these kids are going to college for free? That seems unlikely, since the vast majority of parents know very well what the financial situation is at the various schools their kids might be considering. Are you just being snarky, in case anyone's proud to have their little Mia on a list like this as a future collegiate soccer player and you want to deflate the balloon a bit? If so, you need to put a mask on and go take a walk. Or, are you just jealous that the kids on this list are moving into a next phase that your kid won't? Why are you posting?

Just be aware that is a self reported list and the agenda of folks that self report that for public consumption has to do with their agenda whatever that is. It should not be factored into any decisions you make for your player unless you get details including was the player recruited and did the club assist, is their scholarship money involved and how much, did the soccer serve to help gain admittance to an acedemically elite school or not, etc.

2022 for sure will see cuts, especially for some of the sports like field hockey, rowing. 21's may be ok - even though they haven't signed NLIs yet most did have formal offers. Not a good look for coaches/schools to go back on their word.

I used to look at the boy's lists somebody complied and more important than the list was that he took the time to see how the players actually did once in school. First, multiple players weren't even on their supposed freshmen rosters. Second, plenty got little to no PT and were often gone or transferred after the first year, and more never made it all four years. It was a great reality check for players starting to look.

Target carefully to up the odds you'll play, but more importantly pick the right school for you. In the end that's what matters.

It’s a public service message. A good one. A real one. Self reported college acceptance lists, should not create unnecessary delusions and FOMO for impressionable soccer parents.

2021s may not be on campus so I’d say they are screwed.
