I honestly do not know, I am sure the club has their reasons and a plan. We are an MLS side so they might have other focus with the tournament going on here at WDW and keeping the kids away from the training facility and the first team players and limit exposure risks.

We just had our son out there for a ID session last Monday-Wednesday, they had about 20 kids there and they ranged from 15-17 years of age. Our son is an 05 GK and we were asked to come back out this weekend for some scrimmages, maybe they are just making final selections and will start once they have their rosters filled out.
      Just a thought.

Well this just proves that they plan on playing and fielding a team, so there you go.

No, it was OCDA. We played there last season coming over from IdeaSport but left and was asked to come back out this season. We know the difference.

We are the poster of this comment, we were there and we know the difference between OCYS and OCDA. We are coming from Tampa area and have played against OCDA many times, so trust us, we know.

I don't think it is unusual for clubs at that level to do that, does anyone else? I mean they are suppose to try and get the best talent for their academies so if they are still holding ID sessions what is wrong with that?

They are playing, no question. They will have U15 and U17 teams in the league for next season. Yes they did and will continue to have ID trainings for potential players even as the season progresses, this is not unusual in that type of environment. It does not mean they are unhappy with certain players who may already play those positions or have been selected already, it is just the way it works. These young players learn that they must compete for their spots every training and they must continue to work hard to keep their spot. With that said, there always are players that are on the cusp, this is normal too and this is where most players and parents struggle with the process of playing in the environment like this.
They have a good foundation at OC and are heading in the right direction in terms of long term development of a true soccer academy for the future. Honestly their only potential downfall is going to be if ownership or FO of the pro side interfere and disrupt the process.
Good luck to all the players and to the parents...back off and relax. Enjoy watching your players play.

still not clear what league these 15s and 17s are playing in?
no way they are putting kids on planes to fly and play games at other mls clubs

Right now all Florida teams will play each other and AU during the fall season. I do not think that will change for spring unless Covid is under control.

All Florida teams - you mean Orlando and Miami will play AU?
                                or all florida ecnl teams?
