Kids on the recruiting track should be more worried about showcases getting canceled or travel restrictions preventing participation

At this point all tournaments and games should happen. Much healthier than the alternative being indoors at small home gatherings. That’s where people get sick. My friends who are too busy to party because we spend our weekends going to games, alllll healthy, no Covid. The people who are hanging out in each other’s homes and bars, they are positive. Cutting sports or tournaments will only increase Covid as people will just hang out even more at each other’s houses w nothing to do. Mask up and play ball vs no mask partying in your homes...

the reader can decide if they are holding them to make all the mad cash or as a way to get their kids playing more soccer.

I agree. Playing soccer under the rules seems safe when the alternative is having the kids together in basements posting TikTok videos.

I just want my kid playing. I don't care if you think Select is not worth it, or NEFC. I just want my kid playing games outdoors or even in a big indoor facility over playing video games in my living room with their buddies. I say keep all games going all winter and tournaments. Keep our kids active and healthy. Don't worry about who has the best tournament just play.

I am glad that there will be outdoor playing opportunities through November. The spiking COVID numbers, including hospitalizations, will make it challenging to have any indoor soccer or futsal activities this winter.

It was pretty clear from the Governator's press conference a couple days ago, that he realizes it's much better to have youth sports, where kids can congregate in a controlled and regulated manner, than indoor "hang outs".
Play on...
