Did the FC Portland u15 ECNL defector get lots of looks? She jumped ship for the sole purpose of playing in that tournament and the finals.

Hey Columbo - this forum is for Oregon/SW Wash so your garbage talk is worse than 'an unnamed source'....FACTS matter

The OP of this thread is pretty pathetic trying to manufacture drama where none exists. And by the way if you go on the ECNL website you can find the equally impressive list of coaches who attended Seattle. Or just click here https://admin.totalglobalsports.com/...g.aspx?eid=737
They (US Club) copied and pasted the DA showcase & playoff listing, even though it included boys teams as well. Funny Stuff.

            A more meaningful stat:

            Seattle ECNL event had 137 D1 schools attending; 11 D2; 16 D3; and 4 NAIA.

            Nice try, OP.
The decision makers on the staff all opted for Oceanside. I asked the 4th assistant/volunteer coach who drove to the Seattle event. Jus sayin.

Maybe once the garbage talk CU or FC P person actually posted something factual. Taking your advice FACTS matter.

I suggest the following catch phrases going forward:

‘It’s always Sunny in New Jersey!’

‘Hurricane Houston, baby, we kick up a storm’

‘Seattle is closer than you think’

‘Come watch us retire in Phoenix, we know how to Kick it.’

                Marketing 101
From our vantage point the whole hashtag #_______ effort is pretty lame from US Club. But that’s all they got left. Hashtags. Nice.

Sure they did. And I suppose your DD had whole games watched by at least 200 D1 scouts right? And they invited you out for drinks after to offer you some cash on the side to choose them, right? Too many clowns in GDA and no talent. That's why all the head coaches were in Seattle, to see the real talent.

Still more than GDA has. GDA can't even hold on to their top clubs in their top regions. And then they add clubs like Burlingame that couldn't make it half way through the season before folding. So much for the GDA being extremely selective and taking only the top clubs. Explains how Thornz Asylum got in though.

Yes all the Head Coaches of the NWACC were all there. You have a point.

Right. All the powerhouse D1 coaches opted to watch Thorns play in the consolation tournament in San Diego instead of watching the GDA teams who are actually quite good play in the real tournament. Pro tip: just because there’s a long list of coaches attending an event doesn’t mean they are there to specifically see your player. Unless your player or coach were contacted by a coach that is?

Oceanside has all the coaches, Sleepless in Seattle....Oh well.

Witty retort. It’s a shame “all the coaches” in Oceanside didn’t bother to show up to the Thorns loser bracket games. And you can bet the u15 CU girls will get plenty of coaches at their game in Virginia in a few weeks.

4 club coaches of the travel teams along with the former dad coaches of the dd on the sidelines, very respectable considering the level of this tourney. Maybe they match or outdraw the USYS President's Cup final for coaches attending. Anything is possible, right.
