Let's not. Timbers select who they want to select, and are completely within their rights to bring in kids from outside the area to supplement.

The 05s are an anomaly for a lot of reasons. The way youth soccer standards and competition worked changed just as they were transitioning into important ages. The uncertainty and general confusion seems to have caused a lot of pain in that parent group and they look to have collectively lost their minds.

There are a few decent players in that age group (though it does appear to be a down year), and the entire scene will settle down as that fact dawns on them.

Name players that shouldn't be there...

      We all know the 05...

Please don't. No reason for mature adults to pick on little kiddos that love the game of soccer. For whatever reason the kiddos end up in the TA, kids are kids. either you like it or not, thing will eventually working it out by the time U17+.

But reality is, Hasson is not the problem at all. Everyone knows the U13 and U14 teams have no relevance to the older teams. Sunderland just going to bring kids in from out of the area. If anything, Hasson is the only one who cares about the local talent being that he is from here. I can think of plenty of kids who have trained on the side with him and were cut. Just saying... Perception is not always reality. But I also get the perception is not great. Have you ever reached out and asked why? I'd be curious to hear that answers... Or is sitting behind the safety of anonymity and bitching the only thing you do?
He is merely a just another symptom (Hasson) of the Timbers DA Systemic problems.

The name of the guy (Hasson) doing private lessons is irrelevant, from a big picture view, with no real capital investment in any type of youth development or qualified coaching at the DA. This downtrodden ilk that toil as 'coaches' at the DA are forced to be resourceful and find someway to survive financially (DA Wages aint doing it), check the box for privates, please. If this ilk could coach, they wouldn't be at the Timbers DA, would they.

Don't hate the player, hate the game, right?

The pipeline is starting to produce.
The Greyhound bus station produces T2 caliber players.

Farfan had a cup of coffee in the Timbers DA and is the only local DA player to get any minutes (albeit few) with the first team since 2012.

Stanford developed the other kid and he plays T2.

You seem to forget if a kid can't jump from the DA to the first team then what's the point of having a DA? FC Dallas has figured it out. Portland is light years away.

T2 games are cool and the beer line is shorter. Some of the players might move up someday too so whats all the fanfar about?
