We wouldn't play at Spartans if it were free. So so inferior. Anywhere else but there.

Who is "we"? The fact that you refer to you and your son as some type of group shows that you're a nut. It's your son that plays. You watch. There is no "we" in that scenario. Perhaps you meant to say we won't "pay" for Spartans. If that is the case, learn how to write.

The club is based on recruiting.
They think that bringing in a third tiered Spanish club is going to fix it? LMFAO!

Watch out for the owner, he is slimy and will be in your backyard recruiting coaches and players. It's the only way they survive
You all knew about Victor, if you went there, you get exactly what you deserve. You can't complain about it, you were warned plenty of times in advance.

            Some clarifications:

Someone said the owner is a slimeball. Doubt that but I don't know the man.

However, we all heard of Victor. He's is a slimeball. Without question.

Heard of a couple of Spartans that did get college scholarships, one girl to Div 1 school Grand Canyon. Others to Concordia.

That girl got her scholarship from playing ECNL for Crossfire United. She only trains with the Spartans women's team.

Hmmmmm, scholarship to ultra small outer(not inner) Pdx college that no one has heard of.......might be good for some.

Reality is, Concordia is not a prestigious place to play.

                Why not Chemekata?

I don't care about Concordia at all but I do think it rivals OSU and UO right now in quality of soccer, and is better than PSU. As I said, I don't have a kid at Concordia but those are real perceptions of many realistic people these days.

6 months with the Spartans did not get these girls where they are. There is no development going on. Those players are going to college because some other club developed them.

No doubt. Grand Canyon is probably only slightly better than OSU, UP, UO, and PSU and all 4 of those teams are terrible.

You are spot on. This makeshift club can't even truly compete in any league. They don't fall under the current requirements to be a club in OYSA. They have to play under PCU's umbrella.
These Spartan teams are nothing but glorified PCU Teams.

PSU must be better as they are going to the NCAA tourney while Grand Canyon is looking for a coach that resigned because they suck

what are you talking about? PSU was 5-13 overall and 0-10 on the road. They suck. and suck bad. and play weak teams. But the school is ranked high in academics. Oh wait...

Wow, why all the hatred for a bunch of kids who just want to play ball? My boy loved training with Victor, but I understand a lot of others didn't. Play for the club you like, or the one that's close to home it doesn't matter as long as the kids are learning and having a good time doing it. And they are learning and growing at Spartans just like they are with the Timbers and all of the other clubs.
