The SCP tryouts seemed to be just a normal practice with few kids checking in at the sign in table from my observation. Perhaps the oldest teams were looking at a player or two at most.

So you are either SCP Parent that hates your club or Shoreline parent that wants to cast shade on another club to cover your disaster. Either way sucks to be you!

Wait is SCP even relevant? Last I heard they were reverting to near pop up status with a handful of teams and rumor mongering was GPS was going to buy them. Regardless of their past history - Without the Sportsplex - great complex - no disputing that - does their Premier soccer program languish or die?

From a look at the SCP website, not even holding a full slate of boys/girls teams at all ages. Must be suffering from diluted soccer CT landscape - Southeast and Rush nearby, Sporting, AC, FSC, and NEU further North - not all-stars by any stretch and FSA and CFC pulling the cream of the crop. A niche within a niche. Closer to RI and Bruno and Bayside look more desirable. Ah, the laugh track of CT premier soccer continues.

Having a hard time following this rambling post. What do Rhode Island programs have to do with SCP? Or clubs in northern part of state for that matter. SCP are competing with Shoreline FC, Rush, Ginga and CFC.

Hasn’t it been suggested that these two dying clubs should merge? Just do it already. Call yourselves GPS for the love of God.
