    EM cheating in ECNL?

Rumors circulating that a few EM teams are using players from outside the club to fill ECNL rosters in violation of the rules. Any weight to this?

I didn't hear anything but EMSC and Smithtown use the same cards so it might be confusing people if they see smithtown kids on EMSC teams.

The discovery player is allowed if the player and the players club allow players to dual roster. Player needs ECNL passcard to play. No exceptions.

She is definitely taking time from someone. It doesn't make it right just because you only care about your own kid. That's why you move around every 6 months. At least you got to reuse some of those jerseys from your collection.

This is the "EM way". They don't care about your kids, face it. You are just a paycheck.

Same with Fury / Alby. Get used to LI soccer.

At this level, it’s like that at every club, everywhere. Anyone can be unseated by a better player. A lot of parents take this very personally and are not objective whatsoever.

Exactly. Plus practice players/part time players are allowed in both GDA and ECNL. Your buttercup will always be fighting for her spot in college. Get used to it.

Our club has seen more and more kids showing for practices; some within the organization and some who are not. A few are starting to show for games, and at least one has come on full-time. Some parents are livid.

I think it's a good thing. Players need to learn to be pushed, and my D knows every time she steps on the pitch there is someone who wants her spot. Play like it's in jeopardy.

Hell, if her spot is lost by someone better, and she can't hack it, I'd much rather know now (mid-journey) than 3 years from now.

That poster has the right attitude. The ones who are bit*hing about teams adding players are the ones whose kids are losing playing time and can't deal with their kids not being that special

Not when these kids are getting a break on the price at our expense, that’s why people are pissed.

                            1) How do you know they're getting a lower price? That isn't something clubs advertise with good reason - complaining parents like you
                            2) If they're only playing part of the year, shouldn't they get a prorated fee? If you were in their shoes wouldn't you expect to pay less since you didn't utilize the training for the full year?
                            3) Clubs often give discounts for players they really want. The rest pay full boat.
                            4) You should have read the fine print - DA and ECNL teams are allowed to add players for almost the entire year, and if DA they have to get in their 25% starts regardless of when they started
                            5) Tell your kid to play harder.

Sorry but none of these kids are going pro so pay your own way. No one likes a free loader regardless of skill level.
