Setting things up nicely as they get ready to submit a boys DA application.

CFC is drinking the ECNL (girls and boys) koolaid. They have absolutely no interest in the DA.

Having talked to a couple of CFC coaches they are never going to make any of their players chose between high school and club. They are very happy with the level and exposure the girls and soon to be boys get from the ECNL.

Nobody knows what the future brings. Should GDA actually take off and overtake ECNL, the CFC group will switch leagues in a heartbeat. That's what the new facility is all about. They have one objective, being the dominant soccer organization in the state.

Elm City is a flash in the pan with virtually no infrastructure underneath it. If they were serious about building a soccer club, they should merge with BS and provide a true development pyramid. From U-little to Pro.

NASL, NISA, and NPSL should all align via promotion/relegation and offer Elm City a path higher.....

Why should they link up with a premier or DA club? Plenty of solid players out there wanting to play soccer. This isn't even MLS level.
