And let's look at the costs per season for a U13 team (easier since both leagues are 11v11 at that point). Assume both have 18 players

CSJA $200 premier, $300 elite + per player fees $14 (good for a year) = $452 Premier or $525 Elite = cost per player $25.11 (premier) or $30.67 (elite).

    CCSL $375 ($300 for the ulittles FYI) + per player fee $24 = $807 = cost per player $44.83

If each club charged $1000 per season per player

    CSAJ: Fees collected ($18,000) - player fees ($452 P or $552 E) = $17,548 P or $17,648 E remaining for all over expenses and profits

CCSL: Fees collected ($18,000) - player fees ($807) = $17,193 remaining for all expenses and profits

Also: CJSA charges $5 per staff member per season. CCSL charges $5 but it's good for two years so it's $5 more over a two year period (let's call it awash for simplicity sake). The differences between the two scenarios is around $500 per team. If a club wanted to keep the same cost structure they would simply need to raise the fees by the incremental cost of for argument's sake of $15 per player.

Also: CJSA brackets have gotten so small - some only have 4 teams - that chances are clubs are paying to play in some other league to give their teams enough games. If I were a parent I would expect a steep discount to be playing just a regular CJSA bracket.
There's a lot of "lording" going on in these forums today. Prepare to be lorded over.

On top of the +50% cost increase per player from CCSL, CCSL clubs also increase their markup. The clubs, teams, and coaches are the same ones you saw in the CJSA. So, there is no change in level of play or skill, just in pricing.

Reality is the opposite. CJSA has a lot of soccer people. Fat cats running CCSL and U.S. Club.

CJSA can't stop trolling CCSL. Maybe if they spent more time improving their services to clubs and worked towards bettering CT soccer they could coax some clubs back.

Maybe he's talking about office staff, but that's "office staff," so? The only two "office staff" spots that matter are Executive Director and Coaching Director, and both are soccer guys.

“We are making these little robots,” Lusson says. No one seems sure what to do. How do you tell players to be imaginative while at the same time fitting into the more rigid needs laid out by American coaches? No one knows."
