In the US the slow kids play soccer. Physically and mentally. Not so in other parts of world. US soccer kids are mommas boys and girls. Cry much. And do not take game seriously. They only play at practice and play lots of other sports and have many many activities. US soccer kid is a weak example of US Sporting prowess. Fact.

Google USMNT world cup results. Or total US players in the EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, etc. Do you really need to be shown US soccer sucks? Moron. Sure it's better than ten years ago...but it's just whip cream on a pig yo....still a pig.....fool.

Why are people in Gresham putting whip cream on pigs? I think that would be the relevant question here.

Who's the fool. Your underlying premise is that the top leagues, national teams win because they have the best athletes. They win because they have the best players, playing best together. Our national team is plenty athletic. What separates Altidore and Yedlin from Messi and Alves is not athleticism. It's a poorer understanding and vision for the game.

It's sort of sad really. When other countries/observers see our soccer, they say that we are not technical enough and have a low understanding of the game. When we look at ourselves, we use the excuse about not having our best athletes in the game.

Let's even look at the coaching at the US National and MLS levels. Do we have coaches who have the soccer brains of Guardiola? Do his teams win because they have the best athletes? How many outside backs do we have that are better athletes than Philip Lahm?

Let's look at Pulisic versus Morris. Europe wanted Pulisic, not Morris. Why? Because he's the better athlete?

                      They did want Morris.

I hope Morris does great at the Copa. Wait...

I have nothing against him. Just using him as an example. Maybe it's a good one or bad one. You can choose for yourself.

The point is that only looking at athleticism to determine who is or will be good at soccer is foolish.
