Thinking of having my daughter try out for Olympic Development GK Training Program. Anyone have experience with it? Is it worth the drive- we are not too close to Marlborough.

Just looking for info. Daughter did club last year and is taking a breather. Thought it might be a good way to keep her involved during the winter. Happy to hear from kind and pleasant people.

Just like all else the quality of any program is driven by the quality of the coaching. ODP no longer has that. Save your $ and find her some quality camps or do some semi-private sessions with a quality GK trainer. And only do that if she really wants to. You said she took time off which indicates her interest is probably waning altogether.

Then you get in your car, go back home, and come back next month (if it isn't canceled) and do it again.

evaluate it as you would any other additional training opportunity:
- Who would be running the GK training for your daughter and how good are they?
- What is the cost vs. the training sessions i.e cost per session?
- How far is the travel and is it worth the trip?
Forget about the initials ODP; the initials mean little these days, but if by chance they have a strong GK training coach, it may be a good opportunity.

If by then your kid hasn’t gotten a sniff of the regional pool that will tell you soccer is not likely going to be a spike come the college decision years so plan accordingly
