Agreed. Any of the 3rd through 8th place teams can win the league if they run the table (especially if they have games remaining vs. MX and MA). But there's no reason to expect them to be able to do that.

One quibble: My guess is that BH and BB&N probably aren't in the running for a NEPSAC playoff spot, because they're Class A.

cant assume mx or MA will not get a loss or a couple ties can be damaging. Better team doesn't always win. They played 15 league games. Sure some teams at bottom are not likely to pull upset. MX and MA are in good position but let's see what the points are after 10 games then I would be more confident in predictions. Probably will either increase points lead between top 2-3 or remains within 3-4 points for top teams.

OK. Then look at the All-ISL and All-State lists from the ISL. Again, loaded with NEFC and GPS NPL players. But I'm sure that wont convince you either.

Exactly. The DAP players are dead even with the NEFC and GPS kids for the league lead. No real difference there. Good players play all over.

Looking at league lead is misleading- some coaches play their starting forwards almost the entire game even if they're up 3 or 4-0. Also there is usually only one player per team that takes PKs. DS and HR almost always take the PKs.

Instead look at the teams that are in the top three or top 4 and see where their starters come from (how many are DAP vs GPS/NEFC)
