And didn't Eastside beat CU ECNL something like 4-2 in NW Champions League. I guess this means Eugene would destroy that ECNL team. Or, it just means it is U14 soccer and the teams match up better against some than against others.

There's only one Oregon team that's going to advance to semis in NWCL, and it ain't Eastside...

I agree with this. The point was that none of these U14 teams are really all that good.

then over on the OPL side FCSC is playing "B" teams and it's a slaughter house....

THUSC Silver - basically a third tier team...got smoked
Crossfire Oregon - basically a third tier team...got ripped apart...

the OPL looks like a great league to play in...what was FCSC thinking?

The fault lies on all of the DOC's and clubs involved in the split. Both leagues lack balance and it does not benefit anyone.

              This is typical Eastside.

The do well up to about U12 or U13 then the boot ball does not work so well.

How many Eastside girl's team have been good after U14 in the past 5 years?

Zero. They usually disappear completely by U16/U17

                  Usually way before U16/U17.

Way before. There will / are team at older ages, but they are usually not a factor after 14.

They did the same thing last year with the joint league (OPL and OYSA). They would tear the OYSA apart this year as well.

They are doing it to attempt to repeat the NPL championships. They can play spring ball in WA and then play in that championship. If you are going to crush the competition, there may as well be a sliver lining in it. They gain nothing playing fall in OYSA.

Best of luck to them, that is a good team.

EST and WST did well the last year or two based on beef. Although, I will admit that EST has two or three quality players, one of which is stellar. The rest of the age groups (both OPL and OYSA), Have or are getting their growth spurts. The aggression advantage both teams had, has dissipated. I include WST because of their win tactics but they were not on the same level as EST. They got lucky with a few wins last fall (OPL) to finish as high as they did.

Cue the fade into darkness. Enjoy your season, then everyone can go play H.S. next year and be done with competitive soccer.

Yes they are and they won't need it. But they got toasted in NWCL by the newly formed FCP ECNL side. The point being, there is almost always another 'good' team out there and good is always a relative term.

And yet, Eastside still laid the wood to the local Crossfire ECNL team in NW Champions League. Speaking of fade into darkness. That ECNL team is in deep trouble.

I would concur. It would appear the FCP version of ECNL will have a much better go of it. They have the rest of NWCL coming up, we will see if they can finish.
