USSF and clubs need to convince the younger players (pre HS) its worth their while then deliver on results.
Still, you do not know that it stinks because results are yet to come. This is your opinion, and who knows what your qualifications are to judge.

If Thornz Asylum stinks it up again this year it will be a really bad look for them, especially as the level of the competition in their GDA division is extremely low - really no better than OYSA in most cases.

Again, your opinion!! The opinion that will matter in the end is that of the player and their family. Did they get what they needed out of the program, whether that be growing in there soccer development, team bonding, college opportunities etc.. I hope that all players, no matter their club choice has a great year this next season..

And I hope your DD has better spelling and grammar than you do. Otherwise she can look forward to a glorious career at Mount Hood CC.

The new program will essentially replace the Deanza Force ECNL program. PSV union is one o the most respected clubs in the country.
San Juan had a great ECNL teams, but they are moving the best players to the Davis Legacy half of the merger. This way both clubs keep first and second tier kids. A trend in the making.

But yeah you may be able to quibble a bit about the consistency of the teams/clubs for a year or two, but not much longer than that it will be clear which is the "A" league in the country
I'm from NorCal, and not much in this post quoted above about NorCal is factual.

Davis Legacy was accepted into ECNL, so not sure where you get the idea that San Juan is moving their bet players to Davis. They will be competitors in the same league.

The ECNL teams in NorCal will be: MVLA, Mustang, Pleasanton Rage, San Juan, Davis, and Santa Rosa.

The DA team in Norcal will be: Earthquakes, PSV, Placer, Thorns, Burlingame, and Lamorinda

DeAnza is not part of the DA and lost the ECNL affiliation.

ECNL will be by far the stronger league in NorCal.

Makes no difference when Oregon teams can't beat the worst of them

Only makes a difference in the silly Oregon argument over which is better Ecnl or Thorns Academy. They'll never play each other but the OR Ecnl teams will be competing vs much tougher NoCal Ecnl competition - at least for 2017-18. College recruiters will realize this.

It's not that bad. It was bad in prior years but getting better.

Ecnl competition doesn't matter when they can't compete. College recruiters don't tend to watch teams lose badly every game. Can't recruit much from it.

ECNL teams in Oregon placed 40 girls into college soccer last year.

Wrong. A Rage Ecnl team that didn't win a game all season put even bench players into college. Many D1 schools too. Sure top Ecnl team rosters tend to send more girls to top programs but individual girls on losing Ecnl teams get recruited for college all the time.

As do non-ECNL players. And if you're not a top recruit for that particular program there's a strong likelihood your bench-ECNL player will be a bench-college player too.

                            Rage is from California.

Typical Ecnl idiot. Because some team from California put kids into college that means bench players from Oregon clubs go D1?

Idiot propaganda that really makes people not trust them.

In this case the comparison is valid. The poster said college coaches don't watch teams that lose all the time. They do in Ecnl. That Rage team didn't win a game in Ecnl and got everyone into college. A few into excellent schools. Oregon Ecnl teams will also be seen by college coaches. If they are good individually they will get recruited. Will the Oregon Ecnl teams recruitment list be as good as a Nor CA team? No. Nor CA teams have higher numbers of good players but this particular team lost all games. Thorns Academy will be similar. If all the very best players went GDA in Nor CA, Thorns would get crushed every game but many of those Thorns Academy players will get recruited anyway if they perform decently individually vs the best players from Nor CA.

There are downsides to Ecnl & GDA but hurting college recruitment is definitely not one of them. The only exception to that is if a girl is on the roster but doesn't travel or doesn't play meaningful minutes. Coaches won't recruit players they don't see play even if they're on the winning team.
